Golden Door Spa has plans to increase visibility and distribution for its line of skin, body and hair care products – and the company has a new team of consultants to take on the mission.

Kathy Van Ness, general manager and chief operating officer, said, “Deanna Kangas and Andrew Knox, co-founders of Strategic Growth Consultants, will lead our plans to build Golden Door Skin Care into a world-class business. Their previous success and experience managing the growth of emerging brands matches our own growth objectives. We are so pleased that our
quality spa products soon will have a larger audience.”

Kangas and Knox specialize in creating and building innovative brands and developing national and international distribution. Kangas has helmed a successful re-launch and revitalization of Stila Cosmetics; created a new brand strategy for the Barbie Collectors division of Mattel; co-founded Gloss.com, which was purchased by The Estée Lauder Companies; and managed marketing and product development for Bijan Fragrances, Bath & Body Works and Potpourri Foundry.

Knox has led business development at PIXI and POP Beauty, helping to launch POP Lash Shops internationally, placing PIXI in nationwide Target stores and expanding PIXI boutiques in London and Dubai. His career includes marketing and sales for Tony & Tina Cosmetics, Too Faced Cosmetics, Ralph Lauren, L’Oreal, Benetton Cosmetics, Gloss.com, Laila Fragrance and Healing Hands.

Golden Door’s all natural skin care line was reformulated last November to deliver more skin benefits. The products are formulated with antioxidant-rich plant extracts and essential oils inspired by the gardens and orchards on the spa resort’s property.
